There is No Such Thing as the “Perfect Time”

Perfectionism is a pretty way to say you are procrastinating, and procrastination bears no fruit because fear is a killer.

Have you been feeling a divine pressure to own up to everything God has placed on the inside of you? Trust me, you’re not alone.

When pressure comes up, then the fig leaves – I mean the excuses – come up.
“God, I don’t have time. I’m busy.”
“There’s too much going on.”
“That isn’t what I want to focus on. I need to focus on something else.”
“I don’t have the resources for it.”
“I don’t have enough money.”

“I don’t know enough people.”
“My niche is too crowded. Everyone is a blogger, author, influencer, writer, designer, coach, MUA, [insert calling/niche here]”
“I’m not ready.”

Another thing I’ve had to face is understanding how to share despite my imperfections. Sometimes I’ve thought to myself,  Am I really in a place to share when I still have so many problems of my own?

Ecclesiastes 11:4 says (AMP),

He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].”

And if you didn’t get it, it’s extremely clear in the Living Bible (TLB):

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll never get anything done.”

Perfectionism is a pretty way to say you are procrastinating, and procrastination bears no fruit because fear is a killer.

What has God been nudging at you to do but you keep putting it aside for another day, time, season? We are all in a kairos time. What that means is, it’s an appointed time: a time where God wants to bring a whole bunch of His promises to pass in our lives. God is ready to do some amazing things if we just align with His will by obeying His voice. When we delay by doubting His Word or thinking twice about obeying Him, we limit ourselves and we limit Him. Perfectionism is a strong form of fear, and even control. It says, “if things are the way I want them to be, it’s not going to happen at all”… while there are people waiting to hear about what it is God has for you to release!Time to play small is done. I challenge you, like God is doing with, and in me to not pretend to be someone you’re not. YOU ARE NOT SMALL, and YOU ARE NOT PERFECT! Two seemingly conflicting statements that will free you if you let them. I’ve come to accept that I am imperfect but I’m worthy enough to be used. The Blood of Jesus did that!
I am a work in progress, God’s workmanship at the very same time.

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. – Philippians 1:6, Amplified
